History

Mike Kamel studied architecture at the USEK Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts (B.Arch 1998). He received a Masters in Geography and Urban Design from La Sorbonne (2001) and an Executive Master in Business and Administration from ESA (École Supérieure des Affaires) and from ESCP Europe (EMBA 2010). Between 2000 and 2001, he gained experience working at Jean Nouvel Atelier in Paris.
In 2007, his Private Cemetery project was shortlisted at World Architecture Festival (WAF) in
Barcelona. In 2008, he won the competition for the construction of a new headquarters of the Order of Engineers and Architect (OEA) at Saida.
Over the past 10 years, his office has developed an international reputation and a
significant diverse portfolio of projects both locally and abroad.

MKAA – Mike Kamel Architectures & Amenagements was established in 2002. Our teams engage in assisting the production of various scale projects, from early planning phase to construction supervision. A wide range of supporting skills underpins the work of the practice, including model making, CAD drawing and visualization.
The main drive of the practice is design excellence and precision, achieved through close
collaboration with clients, designers and specialists.
Management of cost and time is an important priority to us, which has resulted in
delivering award winning projects challenged by demanding budgets and schedules.

MKAA is a sister company for MKWS – MK Wood Solutions
MKWS is the representative of Simonin Company for wood solutions, Solaricio Company for solar panels / windmills, and Sanrafael the leading Spanish company in Wooden Door Production.
Mike Kamel is also a Senior Architecture Professor in LAU (Lebanese American University).
